Where is Mermaid Gin made?
On the Isle of Wight, just outside Ryde towards Seaview. We’ve been producing spirits here since late 2017, after moving from our first home at Rosemary Vinyard.
Where can I buy Mermaid Gin?
You can purchase by visiting our online store or checking our stockists page where you can find your closest shop as well as a list of larger supermarkets and retailers.
Where are Mermaid Gin bottles made?
Our bottles are produced in Italy using Venetian glass. It’s fully recyclable and plastic-free and we love to see creative up-cycling. You can share your bottle art with us on social media using #mermaidsightings. Discover more on our sustainability page.
Is Mermaid Gin vegan?
Yes, Mermaid Gin is naturally vegan.
Is Mermaid Gin gluten-free?
Yes, Mermaid Gin is gluten-free. Our base spirit is produced using barley, however, due to the distillation process, gluten proteins are removed. Mermaid Gin has been distilled multiple times through our multi-reflux column stills so there is no trace of gluten.
Is Mermaid Gin blue?
Our bottle is a beautiful shade of ocean blue, but the liquid itself is clear due to the distillation process. Nothing is added to Mermaid Gin afterwards, except island spring water to cut the spirit back to the right ABV.
What does Mermaid Gin taste like?
An ocean breeze in a glass! With fresh citrus, sweet spice and gentle juniper on the nose, Mermaid Gin has citrus zing, combined with peppery spice and an earthy sweetness which is complemented by a hint of sea air. Check out our product page for more information.
What tonic goes with Mermaid Gin? What garnish should I use?
Our perfect serve suggests a pairing of Mermaid Gin with Fever-Tree Refreshingly Light Indian Tonic. Serve with plenty of ice and garnish with a cucumber slice and a few juniper berries if you have them handy.

Do you offer Mermaid Gin refills?
Unfortunately, we are unable to refill bottles at this time. However, if you can visit us, empty bottles can be exchanged for £2 off your next purchase at the Mermaid Bar shop.
