Surfs Up! Mermaid Gin and Wavelength Magazine Announce Their New Partnership
Imagine sublime surf, music sets with sundowners and sunsets over the coast. Well, you can expect all this and more at the Spring Classic festival presented by Wavelength Magazine, down on the rugged Devon coast this May. A weekend crafted for the truly free-spirited, we’re proud to announce Mermaid Gin as an official partner.
The Spring Classic combines surf, skate and ride culture with music across three glorious days on the Woolacombe downs. In its inaugural year, Wavelength is approaching the festival with an environment first mindset, ensuring the ecological impact is low by working with its local Wildlife Trust, banning single-use plastics and off-setting where sustainable practices aren’t possible. It’s their commitment to the environment, as well a love for connecting with nature, which makes the partnership a perfect pairing.
The festival is just the first of many activations planned with the magazine, including a female-focused surf podcast with Wavelength women’s editor Sophie Everard at the helm as women’s surfing reaches its most exciting, dynamic and diverse era. Celebrating the trail-blazers pushing the boundaries and those environmentally campaigning to change surfing for the better, the podcast will follow the stories of incredible women in the surf scene. Launching this spring with Mermaid Gin as the title sponsor, it’s a series not to be missed.
Also in the pipeline is the second edition of the Blue Earth Summit, a three-day deep-dive into sustainability led by experts, drawing together large and small businesses alike, with the common goal of reducing their impact.
The Spring Classic festival takes place on 27th – 30th May in Woolacombe Bay, Devon. Click here to find out more and purchase tickets.
